Mobile Welding Tables

Purpose-built mobile welding platforms designed to bring the table to the work. 30″ wide frames roll through standard doorways with 800 lb-rated casters included.

Buying Guide

Mobile Tables vs Standard Tables

Choosing between a mobile welding table and a standard welding table depends on your workflow, shop layout, and how often you need to reposition.

Mobile Welding Tables

Best for shops that bring the table to the work

  • Purpose-built frames for constant rolling
  • 30″ wide, fits through standard doorways
  • Full-width handle for steering and maneuvering
  • Lightweight builds (171–424 lbs) for easy repositioning
  • 800 lb-rated poly-on-steel casters included
  • Bolt-together options for easy shipping and setup

Standard Welding Tables

Best for permanent stations with occasional repositioning

  • Maximum mass and rigidity for heavy fabrication
  • Flatness measured in thousandths of an inch
  • Sizes from 30×40 up to 50×100 and beyond
  • Full sidewall infrastructure on all sizes
  • Bolt-on casters available as an add-on accessory
  • Ideal when the work comes to the table

Mobile Welding Tables FAQ

Any of our welding tables can be fitted with casters, but our mobile welding tables are purpose-built to live on wheels. The frames are designed around constant rolling — reinforced chassis, full-width handles for steering, and 800 lb-rated poly-on-steel casters that hold up to daily repositioning across rough shop floors. They’re also sized to fit through standard 36″ doorways, so you can move them between bays or buildings without disassembly. A heavy-duty stationary table with bolt-on casters works fine for occasional moves, but if you’re rolling your table to the work every day, you want one engineered for it.

The Wolfram Weldstation is our premier mobile welding platform — a 30″x50″ Blanchard-ground, 1/2″ A572-50 steel surface with full 4″ sidewalls, all on a fully welded tubular steel chassis with 800 lb-rated casters. At 424 lbs base weight it’s substantial enough for serious fabrication (2,000 lb cargo capacity on wheels) yet compact enough to roll through a standard doorway. It comes in Core, Pro, and Prime configurations, and every accessory from our heavy-duty table line bolts right on — extensions, drawers, vise mounts, and SuperSlot panels. The sidewalls are the key differentiator: no other mobile welding table has them, and they add both rigidity and expansion capability up to 70″x100″.

Our Wolfram Weldstation supports 2,000 lbs of cargo on the table top while on casters — each of its four casters is independently rated at 800 lbs. Our 30″x48″ DIY kit tables are lighter-duty but still handle heavy fabrication work. We actually tested one by placing our 1,000 lb heavy-duty 50″x100″ table on top and rolling it around with no issues. The total lock casters on all our mobile tables let you lock them down for a stable work surface that doesn’t shift during welding.

Yes — that’s a core design requirement. Our mobile welding tables are 30″ wide specifically so they roll through standard 36″ doorways with room to spare. This lets you move between shop bays, into a paint booth, out to a job site trailer, or anywhere the work takes you without having to disassemble the table or widen a door frame.

The 30″x48″ DIY kits (Version 2 and Version 3) are the right choice if you need an affordable, lightweight mobile table for general welding, small projects, or a secondary station. They bolt together with no welding required, weigh under 200 lbs, and ship easily. The Wolfram Weldstation is the choice when you need a professional-grade mobile fabrication platform — Blanchard-ground flatness, 1/2″ A572-50 steel, full sidewalls for expansion, and a 2,000 lb rolling capacity. If precision and expandability matter, Wolfram is worth the investment.

Both are 30″x48″ bolt-together mobile welding tables on casters. Version 2 has a 3/16″ A36 steel top with 96 holes spaced 4″ apart — a great entry-level option. Version 3 has a thicker 1/4″ A36 top with 360 holes spaced 2″ apart, giving you significantly more fixturing flexibility and a more rigid surface. Both use the same legs, casters, and accessories. If you plan to use clamps and fixtures regularly, Version 3’s tighter hole spacing is worth the upgrade.

Yes. Our mobile welding tables use the same standard 5/8″ fixture holes as our entire heavy-duty table line. That means clamps, stops, right angles, vise mounts, table extensions, SuperSlot panels, drawer units, and every other accessory we make will bolt right on. The Wolfram Weldstation even accepts 10″ and 20″ table extensions that can stretch it from 50″ to 70″ or beyond. You’re not locked into a limited accessory ecosystem — everything is cross-compatible.

It depends on how you work. A stationary heavy-duty welding table (like our 30″x40″ up to 50″x100″ models) is the right call when the table has a permanent home in your shop and you bring work to it. You get maximum mass, flatness measured in thousandths of an inch, and a surface that can grow to 100″+ with extensions. A mobile welding table is the better choice when the work doesn’t come to you — you go to it. If you’re moving between bays, rolling into a paint booth, working in a tight garage, or need a secondary station you can push out of the way, a purpose-built mobile table saves time and frustration every day. Many shops run both: a big stationary table as the primary fabrication surface and a mobile table for tacking, fitting, and finish work wherever it’s needed.

The Wolfram Weldstation is Blanchard-ground — the same precision grinding process used on industrial machine surfaces — making it among the flattest mobile welding tables available at any price. The 30″x48″ DIY kits are flat to within 1/16″–1/8″ across the surface, which is excellent for general fabrication. They lack the sidewalls and heavy rib structure of our stationary tables, so if you need flatness measured in thousandths of an inch, our heavy-duty 30″x40″ or larger tables are the better fit. For most mobile welding and fabrication work, the DIY kits are more than flat enough.
