The STABILA Kit is a straightforward, precision-engineered cross bracing system designed to upgrade your wooden table with a touch of steel sophistication. Crafted from laser-cut, tabbed, and slotted 2″x4″ steel tubing, the kit features two short cross braces and one long center brace that work together to provide a clean and sturdy support structure. Each short brace comes with mounting plates pre-drilled with bolt holes, ensuring easy and secure attachment.
To seamlessly integrate with your wooden table legs, the kit includes an extra set of plates designed to mount on the opposite side of each leg. Simply drill corresponding holes in your wood legs and bolt the plates in place to add stability and a subtle decorative accent. The STABILA Kit delivers a reliable fusion of wood and steel, transforming a basic table into a more robust and visually interesting piece.
Here’s an example of a custom table built by artisan woodworker Kevin Tunis using the STABILA cross brace kit.
Kevin used some fancy bolts to spice up the look as well. The through bolts combined with steel plates on either side of the wooden leg create the strongest connection on the table, ensuring strength and stability.
Although we ship the STABILA with standard solid plates, Kevin opted to have stars to showcase his Texas roots.
Plate Options
There are three plate options for the outside of the legs: blank, stars, and suns. So you can personalize your selection as desired.
